Sainte Marie Among The Hurons - About Us

ABOUT SAINTE-MARIE

This impressive reconstruction takes you back in time to a story of cultural contact, determination, drama, and survival. A colourful audio-visual presentation sets the stage for your journey.  Examine the original stonework and ingenious locked waterway, observe historic blacksmithing or woodworking, learn about cooking techniques, 17th century fire-starting, listen to traditional storytelling in the Wendat (Huron) Longhouse or perhaps make an "oki".

An award-winning interactive Museum provides a global context to complete your visit. Exploring this beautiful mission is easy with the help of  NEW tour audio wands along with site maps. All are available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Standard and Simplified Chinese.

Restaurant Sainte-Marie is licensed and air-conditioned and is open daily to the general public. This restaurant is also the perfect location to host weddings and special functions. The Gift Shop "Images of Sainte-Marie" is open daily and has beautiful and unique gift ideas, hand-crafted local First Nation items and a large selection of books.
